He offered a more than acceptable price for my trade in. More than the other dealers I had been to for a far better car. Came with 1yr mot and fully serviced. Again, much more than other cars I had looked at in my budget. Really really happy.

The whole team at Catalina have been amazing. We called up to arrange a test drive and the car was all ready to go, even first thing on a snowy Sunday morning. They even noticed my own car lacked air in a tyre and pumped it up for me! I was really impressed with how competitive the price of the car was and how reasonable their offer was for my part ex. I purchased the vehicle and the when I went to pick it up, they noticed that the range of diesel was quite low and added some more in for me. The whole process was smooth and straightforward and the team were so helpful and friendly. A massive thumbs up from me!

I will keep this civil TOM because I'm a better person! My experience with Tom and the car I purchased from Catalina in August 2022 has been extremely disappointing. I've encountered numerous issues with the vehicle, which I reported to the dealership. Despite confirming 8 faults at their appointed garage, the resolution process was prolonged and unsatisfactory. After the car was finally returned to me on November 18, 2023, I discovered that several faults remained unaddressed, despite the garage's insistence that only a clutch issue existed. Subsequently, the car passed an MOT, only for a later inspection to reveal that the initial report may have been fraudulent. In December, my finance company conducted their own inspection, which confirmed that the faults existed at the time of sale. As a result, the finance company rejected the car. Tom's refusal to accept the car's return and his ongoing disputes with the company have only added to the frustration. It's crucial to understand your rights when facing issues with a car purchase. Here are some important points to consider: - If you encounter any fault with the car, promptly notify the dealership and your finance company. - When asked to take your car for diagnostics, ensure that you obtain a copy of the fault sheet for your records. - Within the first 30 days, you have the right to reject the car if you can prove that the fault existed at the point of sale. Obtaining your own independent report is essential, although it can be challenging. - The company is allowed one attempt to repair the car. If the fault persists or is not adequately addressed, or if other faults remain, you may have grounds to reject the car. However, you must be able to demonstrate that the faults were present at the point of sale and were not simply due to wear and tear, which can be difficult in some cases. - Buying an extended warranty isn't worthwhile, as it won't provide the expected coverage. - Under the consumer rights act, you are protected for six months after the purchase. It's important not to lose hope if you find yourself in this situation. Both the dealership and the finance company may present challenges, but perseverance is key when navigating the process of rejecting a car. It's been a challenging and disheartening experience, and I hope that sharing my story will help others in similar situations.
